Firm Overview
Zebra Capital Management, LLC (“Zebra Capital”) is a Connecticut limited liability company and investment management firm with its principal place of business in Stamford, Connecticut. Zebra Capital has been in business since 2001 and is registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”). Registration with the SEC does not imply any level of skill or training. Zebra Capital is owned and managed by Professor Roger Ibbotson, Managing Member and Chairman, and Mr. John J. Holmgren Jr., Managing Member, President and Chief Investment Officer.
Zebra Capital provides investment management services primarily to pooled investment vehicles and separate accounts. Zebra Capital manages the client portfolios on a discretionary basis in accordance with the terms and conditions of each client’s organizational and/or offering documents, if any, client agreements and objectives. Zebra Capital acts as (i) sub-adviser to (A) American Beacon Advisors for one of its open-end registered investment companies and (B) an open-ended umbrella investment company with variable capital and segregated liability between sub-funds which is authorized in Ireland pursuant to the European Communities (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 352 of 2011), in respect of one of its sub-funds, and (ii) adviser to a private company with limited liability incorporated pursuant to the Irish Companies Act 2014 in relation to one of the portfolios of the forementioned sub-fund. Zebra Capital offers investment management services to other clients as well, in each case on a separate account basis. Zebra Capital also licenses its intellectual property to third parties on a case-by-case basis for the creation, sponsorship, compilation, maintenance and calculation, among other things, of one or more indexes.
Zebra Capital is affiliated through common ownership and control with Zebra Advisors, LLC (“Zebra Advisors”), a Delaware limited liability company and registered investment adviser with the SEC. Again, registration with the SEC does not imply any level of skill or training. Zebra Advisors provided investment management services primarily to pooled investment vehicles. Zebra Advisors managed the client portfolios on a discretionary basis in accordance with the terms and conditions of each client’s organizational and/or offering documents, if any, client agreements and objectives.
